A great family dinner!
Home Made Pizza Crust:
1 pack dry yeast
1 tsp maple syrup
1 C warm water
2 TBSP Olive Oil
1 tsp Salt
2 ½ C Flour, more if needed
2 TBSP Corn meal
Combine yeast, syrup & water. Whisk. Let sit till frothy
Whisk in Olive Oil & salt. Slowly add flour till combined. Let sit 5-10 minutes.
Add more flour if dough is sticky. Flour a flat surface & roll dough into a thin circle or square.
Toss a pizza stone or flat sheet pan with corn meal & place crust on sheet.
Ramps, bulbs & leaves chopped
Mushrooms (we found a pheasant back!)
Any other toppings of your choice
8-10 oz mozzarella cheese
Pizza Sauce (we’ll have a recipe for that when tomatoes are ripe!)
Pre-heat oven to 450 F
Spread sauce over dough. Add ¾ cheese.
Saute ramp bulbs & mushrooms till bulbs begin to be translucent. When nearly done, add ramp leaves & sauté till wilted.
Distribute over top of pizza with any other veggies of choice. Add remaining cheese.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or till golden brown. I like my pizza crispy!
