Enter the wonderful world of puff pastry! We use Monique's Puff Pastry Crust Squares, made by hand right here in the Driftless region (http://www.got2havpie.com/)
This one is really simple.
Pre-heat the oven to 350.
Thaw the puff pastry till it can be unrolled and cut.
Cut the puff pastry into bite size pieces. Brush lightly with Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Place the pastry bites on the parchment and bake 5-8 minutes till flaky and golden brown.
Cool on a wire rack, serve warm or cool.
For double-deliciousness, spread puff pastry with cream cheese then drizzle with Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup. Place another piece of puff pastry on top & pinch the two pieces together with a fork along the edge. Bake as above.
