We are planning a flood relief benefit for October 14th, to be held at the Olerud Barn just outside of Westby. The basic idea is to have a Chicken Q, music, raffle items and a live auction. We hope to have everything donated for this event, so all funds can go to flood victims. We are planning to have an organizational meeting this Sunday Sept. 16th at Codgers in Chaseburg at 5 PM. Anyone is welcome to come to help plan!!

Gwen, a very sweet great-grandmother, has had her basement fill with mud 3-4 times since the dams upstream from her home burst. We got the majority of the mud removed Monday and Tuesday and are hoping to dry it out before we head back.
The basement has to be totally gutted and sprayed down with vinegar or peroxide to kill mold. This was started but still has to be finished, including ceiling tiles, some paneling and foam insulation.
WEAR MASKS to avoid mold.

Andy Hughes, of TUGG, contacted Megan Tomlinson from The Great River Folk Fest and Moon Tunes suggesting we do a Flood Relief Concert. It will be on the Oktoberfest South Side Fest Grounds on Thursday September 13th. Pat Stephens has joined our planning committee. We will have music, food, refreshments, and accepting donations to help those families in our area that have had their lives turned upside down due to the flooding. More details coming soon. Watch, listen, and read the media outlets and our Facebook pages for further announcements but for now, get this date on your calendar and let’s help our family and friends that need support due to the flooding. Thanks to my fellow Oktoberfest Board of Directors for providing us the venue to host this fund raiser. Stronger Together!
