The farmers behind B&E's Trees Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
We always knew we were meant to farm. In 2011 we took the plunge, and B&E’s Trees Farm was founded, preserving 64 acres of woodland through the harvest of maple syrup. There is nothing quite like the freedom of being a syrup farmer. Each day brings new challenges and discoveries, from tapping and boiling, to innovating off grid energy systems.
In 2013 a chance meeting on a motorcycle trip led us to collaborate with Central Waters Brewing Company on an exciting new venture. We began aging our maple syrup in Bourbon Barrels, providing a foundation for their Maple Barrel Stout. The aging mellows the sweetness and introduces the spirited hint of bourbon, and smoky vanilla notes from the charred oak of the barrels. Batch 001 hit shelves in November of 2015. From mixed drinks to glazes, our Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup throws mundane right out the window. Taste the Adventure!
Meet B&E at one of the many demos and community events we take part in. We'd love to get to know you!
We could not have accomplished a thing without the help of our truly wonderful Friends & Family. Thank you!
